Yoga Strap

These come in handy when trying out an advance pose that you normally would not be able to complete on your own. I love these straps with multiple loops to anchor in and not slip. ** I typically do not teach with blocks as many students may not have these at home- I offer modifications.

Yoga Egg (Block)

I LOVE my egg blocks- they are so comfortable and made for the body. I do not prefer square blocks now that I am spoiled by these. Many sizes offered and stiffness. If you have any questions I can help. ** I typically do not teach with blocks as many students may not have these at home- I offer modifications.

Angelica Govaert, E-RYT 1000

Interested in teaching or even learning more about yoga? I highly recommend checking out my teacher Angelica, she offers 1-on-1online training. Angelica has been in the industry for many years and ran the largest yoga studio in Nevada, she is knowledgeable and easy to talk with. I went from less than 5% knowledge to teaching a full class before I completed my training! She has multiple media outlets, but my favorite is her Tiktok account!

NO! You are there to learn and practice, you do not go into a college class with knowing everything already. I am there to help with flexibility, but also some people are just more flexible than others.

I am not that flexible as a yoga teacher! You get out of class what you put into it. This is your class and your body, listen to it!

Typically, over time with continue practice you will see an increase in flexibility.

As a beginner, seek some lower-key yoga classes (Relax and Yoga Flow). Once you feel more confident, you can begin branching out and finding the style of yoga that’s just right for you and your body.

Always modify to your body! All of my classes are beginner friendly, if there is a pose or movement you do not want to do? That’s OK! This is about you and your practice.

This is a judgement free zone and I have a zero tolerance for anything like that (I will ask people to leave if I see or hear it).

As your teacher I will be guiding you through the poses and offering modifications, or more in depth options. Depending on the class, I will give more instruction than others (Workout vs. Relax)

The human body is built for movement and can tell when things don't feel right, you just need to listen to what your body is telling you. You have to find what is best for your body and how your body may adapt to a particular pose. Building up this body mindfulness takes rehearsal.

For pregnant women, we recommend talking with your doctor. If you are new to yoga, you should avoid it, especially during the first trimester (1-3 months). If you are a regular practitioner, you may continue to go for short sessions. Do not opt for postures like twisting and intense core work. The best practice is to stick to the basics of pregnancy yoga classes.

Yoga does not conflict with religion. Yoga is a mind and body practice. Yoga typically combines physical postures, breathing exercises, meditation, and focusing practices of mindfulness and relaxation.

I specifically focus only on the health and physical techniques of yoga. I teach a non-spiritual style of yoga.
